Weekend One- Sun Salutations- Surya Namaskar A
The Sun Salutations are an integral part of a vinyasa practice, and can be considered a complete yoga practice in and of themselves. We'll breakdown every pose in Sun Salutation A, from Tadasana to Adho Mukha Svanasana. Then we'll start to connect breath and movement to step out of our minds and into our bodies, building confidence and strength.
Weekend Two- Standing Poses and Balancing
Building on the Sun Salutations, we'll get into the standing poses and start with some tips and tricks for standing balancing poses. We'll start to work them into a flow practice.
Weekend Three- Forwards Bends, Twists and Backbending
We'll hit the floor for forward-bending, twisting and then starting to get into tips and tricks for backbends. Then we'll set-up for an extra-restorative savasana.
Weekend Four- Putting it all Together
We'll work from the Sun Salutations through standing poses to the floor for an integrative vinyasa flow, putting together all that we've learned. We'll finish with a brief seated meditation and breathing practice.
After completing this series of workshops, you will have the understanding of creating a basic sequence to continue your practice at home!
